My Parents

My parents were born in KL. My father elder then my mum 1 year. They were both neighbour, they stay in SG WAY, KL. They get to knew each other when young. My father study until secondary school but my mum only primary school because the old man don't let girl to cont' , only let boy to study. So, my mum was helping him to sell pork by bicycle, my grandfather was open a sundry shop. That time my father came to Kuantan to work as a carpenter with his brother. Then, both of them marriage on the 28th, few days before Chinese new year 1965, because he was free during new year. After marriage, they migrate to Kuantan, there was WHERE I WERE BORN.

MY FATHER
My grandfather was a military commander from CHINA, he brings along wife & son to Malaysia, that time was world war. In MAL they give birth to 2 sons & 1 daughter. My father got 2 elder brothers & a younger sister. Then, CHINA there not allowed them to back to the country, later my grandfather was so sad, he take smoke and pass away in the aged 39. That time my father was only 6 yrs old. My grandmother doing plantation, father told me that when they were young, always eating rice mixed with coffee, no dishes. A lots of people bully them because no father. My grandmother was pass away in her old age of 70+ in Kuantan. My father & elder uncle was staying in Kuantan, whereas 2nd uncle & younger auntie were staying in KL. My 2nd uncle & auntie still healthy. They are almost 70.
At last my father success, he was a businessman, he got a furniture workshop. Later, from CHINA government sent letter to my uncle to inform that there was a big rice store which belongs to my grandfather, ask to go back and do necessary documents,but my uncle refused. My father love me so much, maybe I am the elder in the family. When I was young, he used to hold me and ask me to sit on his shoulder. He was KARATE master with black belt, when his teacher not around, he will replace him to teach students. He did go for travelling in MAL, and also AUSTRALIA (where he visit my auntie there), SHANGHAI, CHINA.
He was a vegetarian when he was about 53 yrs old, he got diabetes when he was about 40 yrs old. Later, year 2000 he need to do injection everyday, pills not affect. I inject for him 3 times per day, just like a nurse. Year 2001, when he admit to hospital, doctor said kidney spoil, need to do hemodialisis. Then, he can't walk anymore, he was so weak, he need wheelchair. After 3 months, he passed away on 26/4/2001. at aged 59. I was beside him when he was pass away in the hospital at 4.00am. We take turn to look after him while he admit to hospital. Youngest brother 6pm to 8pm. brother in law, Kok 8pm to 10pm, me 10pm to 2am. brother 2am to 7am. He always not coming, then I need to continue until 7am. This is because only 3 nurses are working during night time. After he pass away, the furniture workshop was closed due to my brother don't know how to manage the business.

MY MOTHER
My grandmother married with my grandfather when she was 12th. She give birth to 14 children, but some are not alive. They are from CHINA, now still got 1 elder auntie stay there. In MAL there are 4 girls & 4 boys. Now, 2nd auntie in KL at aged 78, still healthy. 2 youngest auntie was migrate to England & Australia. 2 youngest uncle still in KL, long times no contact.

She was born in year 1943, where Japanese came to MAL. When she was 3 months, her parents through her away in the rubber estate, because no milk for her and she was crying, scare caught by Japanese. Lucky my 2nd auntie pick her back and cook sweet potato for her to eat even she is so young. When she pass away, 2nd auntie so sad because she just like her daughter. She pass away in University Hospital, KL. She sick for only half year, I am going to visit her in KL every weekend even no highway.
My mum was a housewife, when she was free, she goes to play mahjung and card. She learn driving when I was Form 2, always ask me to replace her to play mahjung when the driving teacher came. Lucky I got no BAD HABIT. She did go for travelling in MAL, once in HONG KONG by flight.
When my mum pass away on 13/12/88, at aged 45, my grandmother still alive. she pass away few yrs later at aged 90+. She was staying with my 2nd auntie at KL.

My Old Friend

Mr & Mrs Ng are my old friends, she is 55 years old. They got 2 children, elder son Sheng is working in Penang, whereas youngest daughter Li Ping is studying at MMU, Cyber Jaya,KL.
I know her on 2/1/1984 where my first job at accounting firm, she was my supervisor.Later she resign and became housewife to look after children until now. We always keep in touch until now and forever. They travel to so many country for holidays, recently they went to Europe. Mr Ng was retire 2 years ago, they shift back to Penang on 29/11/2008. Formally he is from Penang and Mrs Ng is from Alor Setar, Kedah. They have been in Kuantan for 30 years, no relatives here, now they go back hometown to stay with their son. I hope to visit them soonest.

This tea set is a present from them for memorial.

I spent them for dinner at PIZZA HUT, Kuantan Parade on 22/11/2008 as a farewell dinner. When the day they shift, I did not go there because I scare I will cry. I am the type very easy to cry, so next time will contact her through phone call & sending SMS. Hope they live happily and healthier over there.

My Auntie - Australia

My youngest auntie Kon Yoke Chong (Alison Pillay) , she is 53 years old. Her husband uncle Ryan Pillay, 61 years old. He is Malaysian Indian, they marriage in KL, after the occasion they migrate to England to join her sister. Few years later they migrate to Australia. Now, they are staying in Victoria, Australia. They got 2 sons, elder Leon Pillay, 26 years old, and Adrian Pillay 21 years old. They are still studying. They open an old folks home, namely GRACEVALE LODGE. It was just like a hotel, got 40 rooms. They got 40 old men & women, they paid fees every week, some of them are rich, they come here to relax, mixed around, etc.....
My auntie told me that they do organise some games, fashion show, singing competition between them, and then give them some small present during Christmas day and birthday party, then they will very-very HAPPY, just like a SMALL KIDS. . .


Photo taken at my sister house on 10/1/2005. This few years they come back to MAL every year because my uncle's mother is living in KL and she is old. When they come back, they always go for holidays to Penang, Singapore, JB, etc... because they got lots of friends & relatives here beside us in Kuantan. Then, the auntie from England will join them every 2 years because she is far away and she is working.

I always send SMS through phone to them, last time send letter. Hope she read my blog, then they will see my family, sister & brothers photo & news from here. I haven't been there yet since they stay there long times ago, only my father have been there.

Hope one day we can go there with family, sister & brothers together even a few days trip.

My Auntie - England

My younger auntie Kon Yin Chong (Maureen Travis) now 55 yrs old. Her husband uncle Keith Travis 67 yrs old. They stay in Essex, England. They got 3 children, all are sons. Elder Kevin Travis 29 yrs old, 2nd Lee Travis 26 yrs old, youngest Christopher Travis 19 yrs old. All of them still study. My uncle working in a printer workshop, my auntie is a nursing leader in hospital. They go for travel every 2 yrs, very relaxing. My auntie go to England when she was 18 yrs old. She went there alone, she was so brave. She go there for nursing studying, she got degree, now she is holding a high post. She work there for 37 yrs. After my SPM, my mum not allowed me to follow her to England for study & working there like her. Maybe she scare me also marry a MAT SALLEH.

This photo taken on 23/7/2006 at MS Garden Hotel Kuantan where she last visit us in Kuantan. She come back this year to KL but no times to meet each others, perhaps next year.

An Incident I shall never forget

When I notify that my menses not coming during Dec 2006, I knew that I am pregnant. That time my son was 7 , and daughter was 4 . Then I tell doctor that I don't want this baby, but he not agreed. Later, I accept it and decided to give birth at specialist hospital. All of us very happy that a little baby is coming soon.

Unfortunately doctor told me that there was an EGG inside my ovary, need to do operation quickly, maybe the baby won't alive. I was so sad and cry everyday, my boss Dato' and Madam do ask me to do operation at Subang Medical Centre, KL. They will pay for the fees, but I refuse, I don't want to owe them. I choose to do operation at general hospital Kuantan. I do cystectomy on 23/4/1997, the doctor carry out the cyst and cut out the left ovarian. The cyst was so big until like an orange. I ask doctor whether he cut left or right, because the stitches are at my right side. He told me that he is standing at my right side when doing operation. I feel so safe when admitted to the operation room, because is about 30 practical nurse and doctor inside the room. When I wake up, the doctor told me that every things go smooth. I am so happy and forgot that I am painful. The total charge is only RM148.00.

Yeah, I win already. When due date, I was scare that need to operate again. Lucky it is normal birth. When pregnant time, I eat little bit but my stomach still grow bigger and bigger. During the pregnant times, I was going in and out hospital so many times, a lots of illness that lady is pregnant only show out, that year my father and sister also admitted to hospital. UNLUCKY YEAR.


When she is born, she look so beautiful, skin colour is pink, maybe after operation I drink lots of bird nest. Lots of friends & relatives come to visit me. Doctor ask whether she got urine, thinking can go home,I tell doctor "YES". then we can discharged the same day. After home, notify she not yet urine, that night we admit again to the hospital. After doctor help to through out the urine by piping, the next day she can't through " shit". At last, we stay a week again. Hospital charged only RM 45.00.


When she comes home, her sis was jealous, she bites her good friend Ang Siew Hui, then nursery teacher told us that her emotion is bad during this time. Maybe she saw everybody is holding the new born baby. Then later, we chat with her, so now their relationship are good.



See, she is so cute, she accompany me very weekend, we go shopping together and she is so MANJA, always want me to buy things for hers. Next time when her sis going further study, only she is beside me. The song, ONLY YOU ! ! !


She invite her good friends to attend her sis birthday recently on 26/7/2008. She is the smallest among them, she is very talk active in the class. Her friends all like her, whenever I go to school to fetch her, her friends will call me LENG NUI, not auntie. HA HA! ! !

My Farewell Dinner - 30/6/2005

I joined Tuck Kong Construction & Timber Sdn Bhd since 2/3/1993 to 30/6/2005. My Madam arranged a farewell dinner for me at MS Garden Hotel on the last day I work there. She order 4 tables, all the workers who is around are invited to attend to the dinner. That night was a memorable night for me, I can't forget it. I feel so sad to leave all my colleagues, specially my respect Madam Tan, Dato' & Mr. Wong. See, I am feeling sad.

That night I was the master, they want me to sing song. Is difficult to look for CD, so I sing without music. I sing few Chinese song & a English song. My boss said he don't know I can sing without music because all the while we sing at karaoke. We always go out to karaoke to sing song and also go for DISCO., very enjoy when go out with them. DO YOU WANT TO LI STERN TO MY SWEET SOUND ? need to pay ah. .. .

That night few of them are singing. But everybody emotion are bad.

That night Mr. Wong never come, maybe he feel sad too because of my leaving. Mrs. Wong is coming. They give me some expensive presents. I do always going back to office to have tea with Madam. While I was working there, Madam like to fetch me out for lunch. We are so closed when working together, I feel happy working together with her. She always give me advise, tell her own story, invite to drink Chinese tea , etc..... I can't forget her.

This few colleagues are still working, I always pay them a visit or taking lunch together when I go back to the office. I am close with Miza, because she will help me to do my job. I do bring her along to Genting Highland for a holiday, where she never been there before. Now, she got 3 kids, still so slim.

Ming leave TK office because of his illness. He is with Leong now, Sometimes we do "YAM CHA" together, or sending SMS. TK office has organised a first co trip to Beijing, China on year 2002 where our fare are sponsor by the co. They are few couples, Madam, Mr. Wong family, except Ming & Me are single, so, he and me are "partner". Beijing trip is my first trip by flight.

Sam & Miza, we will take photo in the office when boss are outstation. During Chinese New Year, we will playing cards in the office, such like "Sam Cheong", "Cow".

I do invite my best ex-colleague, like Ms Chin,Choong, Chu, Hew, Yee, Chiu Mei, Mei, Mr Hua, Ming, Leong, Keat, Yan Keong, Superman, Michael,Kepala Wah, Hock, Yap Wah to my house for gathering once every 2 years. This year I do invite all the boss, they came to my house with all their children. Everybody are happy, I appreciate for their coming. Hopefully it happen again in FUTURE. ! ! !

My Good Friends

Ms Chin Soon Lin is my best friend, her husband Mr Choong Yong Hua also my friend, both of them are my ex-colleague, we work together at Tuck Kong Construction & Timber Sdn Bhd. Now 3 of us were left the co., but we still keep in touch and contact each others. Her birthday is on 15th Nov, and mine 16th Nov. There was a time we both celebrate at Karaoke with Tuck Kong other staffs. I knew her is about 13 year, when she joint TK office. When we meet each other, must be a lot to chat, she is just like my elder sister, because I don't have any elders. She is very kind and like to cook. I have been to her house for lunch few times, it is very delicious.

We go travel together, she was my room-mate when we travel to Bangkok, Thailand on 3/6/2005. Both of us and Ms Chu family, total 6 person joint Yafo Tour & Travel. I like this trip very much, because we are all very close and good friend. At night, we go out for drinks, daytime having sport activity, shopping .... We took lots of photo and bought lots of souvenir. The first trip we go together was during Chinese New Year 2002 to Beijing, China ; which is TK co. first trip. Don't know when is our NEXT TRIP ? ? ?

She has a happiness family, now she is helping her husband in manage of their business. She has 2 boys, both of them like twin, just different 1 year. Both of them are good in studying, always get the first 3 in class. This year the elder son, Yew Yew get No. 1 , and Hung Hung get No. 3.

She went to Bukit Tinggi to joint us when I was holiday there during Chinese new year 2006. Did you see the famous BIG RABBIT ? ? ?

That was a time we always go to Sg.Lembing for climbing the mountain early in the morning. Almost 3 years we never go out together, maybe everybody are busy with their own career.

Another good friend, Ms Chu Pau Lin, also my ex-colleague cum ex-neighbour, last time we do go for Yoga class together. She has 2 kids, Hern Boy is studying at UCSI KL, Girl-Girl is studying at SMK Tanah Putih, she is PMR this year. Her boy is intelligent, cultural exchange to Japan and US. We do travel to Bangkok, Thailand in year 2005, and Club-Med in year 2006.

This are few photo taken at Bangkok and Pattaya where we go travel together with Ms Chin. Her husband, Mr How is formally my ex-committee member of ex-student and PIBG Chung Ching school. He is a very nice man, at Bangkok, we do go out for drinks and chatting whereas Ms Chu is accompany her children and stay in hotel. Ms Chu is from KL, she has no relative staying in Kuantan. I always go to her working office for chatting when there is cheque collection.

We go to climb Sg Lembing mountain together few times. Always go at 4.00am from Ktn because we want to see the sunrise.
